Request Appearance

General Information

Command players, coaches, dancers, and Pepsi Maxx Runway are always looking for opportunities to be a positive influence within their community.  The Kansas City Command encourages all local programs to reach out and bring the organization in as a means to help fulfill the program’s overall mission.

Appearance requests for the Kansas City Command must be in writing and should be submitted to the team’s director of community relations, Ryan Hammons, at rhammons@kccommand.com. Requests submitted via mail to the Command Community Relations Department should be addressed to:

The Community Relations Department will contact the individual submitting the request to confirm receipt.

All requests must be received by the Community Relations Department at least three weeks prior to your scheduled event to allow maximum time for consideration.  Submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance.  If the requested member of the organization is available, generally a confirmation will be made 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

Appearance Criteria

We hope to assist programs in the community that use Command appearances as an incentive/enhancement of the program.  Therefore, we adhere to the following criteria:

  1. No career days (not realistic for players; we would recommend a member of the Command staff)
  2. Clear role for the player at the event (read books, hand out awards, etc.)
  3. No athletic function with risk of injury (i.e. basketball games, etc.)
  4. Publicity opportunities

Promoting Team Appearances

Use of the Command name, logos and trademarks and/or any advertising that implies the support or sponsorship of an event by the Command or the Arena Football League must be approved in writing by the Kansas City Command.  This policy pertains to all forms of advertising, including all print (newspaper, newsletters, posters, flyers, brochures, raffle tickets, etc.) television and radio promotion.
